Julia Lacy Armstrong
Licensed in New Mexico and Texas
Partner, has Bachelor of Arts and Master
of Science degrees from the University
of Michigan, and took her law degree in
1984 from the University of Texas School
of Law. She has practiced principally in
the areas of construction, commercial
and real property transactions, and
related civil litigation, including the
investigation of title insurance claims.
As an Assistant Attorney General for the
State of Texas, she
handled large construction disputes for
The University of Texas, Texas Tech
University and the Texas Department of
Criminal Justice, among others, as well
as serving on the Board of the
Construction Law Section of the Texas
State Bar. She helped to develop the
Uniform Conditions for construction
contracts used by Texas stated agencies
and presented numerous papers on
construction law for agency
administrators.
Since moving to New Mexico, Mrs.
Armstrong has built on this foundation
to develop the Firm’s capabilities in
real estate transactions, title issues,
and related litigation. She is also
active in land use and planning,
frequently representing neighborhood
groups in matters before the Town and
County zoning authorities.
